This is an HDR stack of 5 exposures at 2/3rds stop intervals to capture the dark foreground detail and the bright Moon on one image. Lights from passing traffic on Highway 1 above the lakes produced the streak at right.
The waxing gibbous Moon over Sulphur Mountain and the Banff Springs Hotel in Banff, Alberta, Canada. Taken July 10, 2011 from hotel overlook viewpoint on Tunnel Mountain Drive in Banff, Alberta in evening twilight with high cirrus cloud. This is a 3-image HDR stack of exposures with the Canon 7D and 16-35mm lens. Exposures were 0.5, 1.3 and 3.2 seconds at ISO 100 and f/5.6 and 25mm lens setting. Combined in Photoshop CS5 HDR Pro.
