The waxing gibbous Moon, two days before full, over a mountain peak behind the Bow River in Banff National Park, in Alberta, Canada. I shot this August 8, 2014 as part of a 450-frame time-lapse. This is a single exposure with the 16-35mm lens and Canon 5D MkII.
The rising "super moon" of July 12, 2014, rising above a canola field near home in southern Alberta. The Moon is in the blue of Earth's shadow and below the pink Belt of Venus band. This is a single exposure and frame from a 500-frame time lapse of the Moon rising. This is with the Canon 60Da and 135mm telephoto lens. The Moon has not been pasted into the sky!
