The Big Dipper trailing across the northern sky over ForgetMeNot Pond in Kananaskis Country, in southern Alberta, on a moonlit autumn night in September 2015. This is a stack of two exposures: 30 seconds at f/4 and ISO 1250 for the short point-like stars followed by an 8-minute exposure at f/5.6 at ISO 160, both with the 24mm lens and Nikon D750. LENR used on both images.
The Pleaides (the Seven Sisters) star cluster, and the stars of late autumn and winter rising over Elbow Falls in Kananaskis Country in Alberta, on a moonlit night, with a waxing gibbous Moon providing the illumination. This is a 20-second exposure at f/2.8 with the 24mm lens and Nikon D750 at ISO 1250. A brief wash of LED light painted the foreground water.
Stars over Elbow Falls in the Kananaskis area of southern Alberta, shot under the light of the gibbous Moon on the last night of summer, September 22, 2015. The aspens were in full fall foliage on a very clear, mild night. This is a stack of 6 images, one for the sky and 5 for the ground, with the latter median combined to smooth noise. All were shot with the 24mm lens at f/4 and Nikon D750 at ISO 1250 for 30 seconds each. I painted the falls with an LED light for a few seconds to better illuminate the water that was in shadow.
