Total Lunar Eclipse in twilight, May 15, 2003. Moon rose in totality and was still in twilight as totality ended. Through 4-inch AP Traveler scope at f/4.5 with field flattener/compressor. Fuji Provia 400F slide film About 8 second exposure. Just after totality ended. Moon very low. Contrast and color enhanced slightly.
Total Lunar Eclipse January 20, 2000 (Jan 21 by GMT) from Alberta 5-inch f/6 apo refractor with 2X Barlow for f/12, 1560mm focal length Ektachrome 100SW slide film 60 second exposure, tracked at lunar rate Taken just at the onset of totality. Colors punched up a little in Photoshop and green background removed but otherwise colors are as recorded by the film, which picks up more color than the eye can see on the faintly illuminated Moon.
Partal eclipse of the Moon March 23, 1997. This was an almost-total eclipse (97%) and happened with Hale-Bopp also in the sky, so quite a night. Taken from home thru 5-inch AP refractor at f/6 with Ektachrome 100 slide film, 35mm format. Exposure about 8 seconds.
