Total Eclipse of the Moon, October 27, 2004, taken from home in Alberta, Canada. Taken with Canon Digital Rebel DSLR camera, at ISO200, for 15 seconds at f/6 through Astro-Physics 5-inch apo refractor. Scope tracked at lunar rate, leading to slightly trailed stars but sharper moon.
Taken October 27, 2004, with Pentax 6x7 camera and 55mm lens. Stopped down to f/16 for first half and second half, and opened up to f/2.8 and 40 second for totality exposure in mid-eclipse. Unfortunately, some frost formed on the lens at the end of the exposure causing the flaring at the top. Rats!
