This is a binocular field (roughly 10° wide) framing of the contrasting open clusters NGC 2477 (rich, top) and NGC 2451 (loose, bottom) in Puppis. This is a 4-image stack of 3-minute exposures with the 135mm lens at f/2.8 with the filter-modified Canon 5D MkII at ISO 800. This was taken in May 2011 from Atacama Lodge in Chile.
