NGC 2516, the naked eye open cluster at the foot of the False Cross in Carina. Sometimes called the Southern Beehive. Field is oriented along the Milky Way so north is to the right here. Bright star is Avior, or Epsilon Carinae. Taken from Chile this is a stack of 5 x 2 minute exposures at f/2.8 with the 135mm lens and Canon 7D at ISO 1250.
