The supernova remnant IC 443 in Gemini near the stars Mu (left) and Eta (right) Geminorum. Slight haze passing thru on some exposures added the star glows. This is a stack of 10 x 6 minute exposures with the 92mm TMB apo refractor at f/4.4 with the Borg 0.85x field flattener/reducer and the filter-modified Canon 5D MkII at ISO 800. Star spikes added in Photoshop with Astronomy Tools actions.
NGC 6888 and IC 1318 nebulosity in Cygnus, with Canon 20Da and TMB 92mm f/5.5 apo refractor with Borg 0.85x reducer/flattener at f/4.6, for stack of 4 x 15 minute exposures at ISO400. Taken on a superb night from home, Oct. 1, 2008.
Gamma Cygni nebulosity aka the IC 1318 complex, plus the Crescent Nebula, NGC 6888 at right, in central Cygnus, taken on a superb night from home July 30, 2011. This is a stack of 5 x 12 minute exposures at ISO 800 with the filter-modified Canon 5D MkII and the Borg 77mm f/4.3 astrograph lens (300mm focal length), and using the IDAS V3 nebula filter. Orientation is tilted off true north at top (my usual orientation) to take in NGC 6888 and the little blue reflection nebulas at upper left.
