The large winding constellation of Eridanus the river, at least the major northern section of it near Orion, at top. Eridanus winds from Orion across and down the frame to the lower right. Below Orion itself is Lepus the Hare. This is a stack of 3 x 2-minute exposures with the 35mm lens at f/2.5 and Canon 5D MkII at ISO 1600, with an additional exposure through the Kenko Softon filter layered in to add the star glows. False Cross area of southern Milky Way in Vela and Carina. Taken in December 2003 from NSW, Australia. Shows Vela SNR and Gum nebula area very well. Taken with 165mm lens at f/4 for 24 minutes on Ektachrome E200 120-format film and Pentax 6x7 camera. Glow layer added in Photoshop to fuzz stars.
