A panorama of the night sky and Milky Way, from Waterton Lakes National Park, on the Red Rock Canyon Road. The light at left is from the Prince of Wales Hotel and the glow from the townsite. The Big Dipper is at far right. The green at left is from airglow, while the yellow and magenta at right is from light pollution from Pincher Creek and Crowsnest Pass, and perhaps low-level aurora. This is a 7-section pan with the 24mm lens and Canon 5D MkII each for 30 seconds at f/2.2 and ISO 1600. Stitched in Photoshop.
