The Northern Lights taken from the deck of the Hurtigruten ferry ship the ms Trollfjord, on October 20, 2018 as we sailed across a calm Barents Sea in northern Norway, just out of Batsfjord sailing toward Hammerfest. Light from the waxing gibbous Moon provides the illumination. The Pleiades and Hyades in Taurus are rising at right. This night the Kp Index was reading 0! Yet we got a decent display in the early evening between 9 and 10 pm, with an arc across the entire northern sky. However, it was brightest toward the east, the view here. This is a 2-second exposure with the Venus Optics 15mm lens at f/2 and Sony a7III at ISO 6400.
