The nearly Full Moon (0ne day before Full) rising at the end of Bow Lake, with purple flowers (Purple Saxifrage?) in the foreground. Taken August 9, 2014. This is an HDR High Dynamic Range stack of 5 exposures at 2/3rds stop intervals, with the Canon 16-35mm lens and Canon 6D at ISO 400.
The Bow River by twilight from the Castle Mountain viewpoint on Highway 1 in Banff National Park, a busy rest stop on the main Trans-Canada Highway. I shot this August 8, with the waxing gibbous Moon providing most of the illumination plus light from the fading twilight. This is a single exposure, not HDR, with the 24mm lens and Canon 6D.
