M33, the Triangulum Spiral, a dwarf spiral in the Local Group. This is a 6-image stack of 12-minute exposures with the Canon 7D at ISO 800 on the 130mm Astro-Physics apo refractor at f/6 on AP 600E mount and SBIG SG4 autoguider. Poor seeing bloated star images somewhat.
Lake Louise, Banff, Alberta by moonlight, taken August 13, 2011. Taken as part of a 477-frame time lapse movie, taken with the Canon 7D at ISO 800 and 10-22mm lens at f/4 for 30 seconds.
Gamma Cygni nebulosity aka the IC 1318 complex, plus the Crescent Nebula, NGC 6888 at right, in central Cygnus, taken on a superb night from home July 30, 2011. This is a stack of 5 x 12 minute exposures at ISO 800 with the filter-modified Canon 5D MkII and the Borg 77mm f/4.3 astrograph lens (300mm focal length), and using the IDAS V3 nebula filter. Orientation is tilted off true north at top (my usual orientation) to take in NGC 6888 and the little blue reflection nebulas at upper left.
